Shepherding Program
The purpose of the Shepherding Program is to provide care for the members and friends of Maynard Avenue
UM Church and to help us nurture one another in Christian love. The goal is for every person to feel cared for and connected to Christ and the church.
Each person or family who wishes to participate is assigned a Shepherd, who contacts people several times a year, prays for and encourages them, sends birthday and other cards, and mobilizes care in times of special need. The Shepherding Program does not replace the care provided by the pastor, but augments and expands that care. Shepherds are persons who answer God's call to caring ministry and receive training in this program. If you are interested in having or being a Shepherd, please call the church office.
